Voilà je suis à la recherche d’un UL pour vents de terre. L’idéal serait qu’il soit capable de voler par temps calme mais qu’il supporte les bourrasques (saletés !)

Je ne fais pas encore de freestyle mais j’aimerais bien et c’est l’objectif. Je n’ai donc pas forcément besoin d’un CV qui réussit la figure la plus dure du monde mais plutôt tolérant et adapté à la progression.

Budget à voir suivant le CV et l’état, budget max 150 je dirais pour une perle rare ?

Et je suis à paris mais ouvert aux expés

Thy to find a 2nd-hand Ulzburger Escape UL or EOL UL (open-source kites). They are very forgiving and can do everything. Should be possible for 120 or 140 Euro depending on condition.

Ok that’s very good to know ! I’ll keep an eye opened for those but I haven’t seen anything recently - I’ve started looking at the drachen German forum but it seems to go very fast and there is no UL at the minute. Thanks again for the help

What i suggest to you - watch at videos on the internet, so many good where you can see how kites fly.

Maybe, I list further possibilities:
- All Nirvanas UL: Nirvana 1st. UL, NSE (Nirvana Second Edition) UL or N3E (3rd edition) UL. I have the lest one - very good!
- Ulzburger: Return - in the same class as EOL & Escape
- Open Source by Karel Oh: 90Three / 90Nine / 90Six are all excellent, but not easy to fly - top performer for experienced pilots; you will need UL or even SUL.
- L'Atelier will be difficult to fly and to learn for beginner -better avoid at the beginning till you get advanced.
- Prism lives from their old good image; ... but, avoid since old are expensive and with problems like heavy, breaking spars... New Prism kites are cheap, but low-performer.
- Level One: Badass: a very good allr-ounder, can do everything; cheaper spars to replace; also Black Pearl is more freestyler; Maybe also Merlin and Gentleman... the last two I did not fly.
- Benson will need more wind also as UL, not really for you in-land...
- Mugen Kites: Lazarus XL (big Lazarus) as UL very nice and capable, even the smaller Lazarus as SUL for very light winds is top-notch (I have one)

If you ask me for the best two: Escape UL and Badass UL.

So, this is my own experience... maybe some other pilots here may help with more French kites...

Where is the best place to find some of them ? I guess here is good for French kite as you say, maybe nirvana but I haven’t seen any recently.

Lazarus UL is of course also a great kite. Be aware that the wingspan is only 215cm compared to full-size kites like Nirvana some 230/235cm or Lazarus XL STD 245cm For the same wind, this means that the smaller kite will be faster and you will need more advanced flying skills. The Lazarus SUL is very light (177g or less), so it is slower. Lazarus SUL flies very similar to my Latarus XL STD although the size is very different.
To make it short, it may be that Lazarus UL will be too fast if you cannot do advanced tricks (like Taz Machine, Jacob's Ladder, Yo-Yo). Better to go for bigger wingspan.

German forum is much more dynamic than here. :-)  Why you cannot post - ask for kites? If you post in English, it is fine there. Many Dutch pilots there writing in English; also some Italian.

In German forum, you may easy get the Badass UL and this is a very good kite to start and more than that.

One you shall know: Nirvanas are very good kites. N3E even the best series in my opinion (I have Nirvana 1st. Vented and all 4 Ni3E - WW, LW, STD and Midi-VTD). Still, I often fly Lazarus (applies same for Escape) and this kite is outperforming N3E in precision and how easy to trick it. But, we are comparing really high quality kites. You will be very happy with both of them and Badass and Escape too. Just, take a bigger one to have time to learn/understand what is going on in tricks and what do you need to do for a successful trick.

Je confirme le Badass UL ,il encaisse les petites rafales et sa plage de vent descend relativement bas  ...
Pour ce qui est de la série des Nirvanas ta recherche risque d'être compliqué vu que R-Sky a cessé son activité la plus part des gens qui en ont dans leur sac les garde jalousement...

Et je suspecte Jibering d’en avoir quelques un haha

Merci de regarder dans la rubrique "Occasions" mon annonce pour un Silverfox 2.5UL de chez Flying Wings.
Il est donné pour 2 à 18 kmh, mais un 4 ou 5 kmh bien stable est préférable.
